How to convert hover to click or tap for mobile devices?

    I’ve got a calendar site http://jimsrootsandblues.com that uses “amr ical events list” plugin for main calendar pages. The problem is that it uses hovers to display event information.

    This doesn’t work, for instance, on tablets. Smaller devices I’ve simplified into event lists, but prefer the larger format box calendar on larger formats. Anyone have a sweet javascript snippet?

    While I’m at it if you’ve got suggestions to speed up the calendar pages—I’ve tried Hyper Cache, but to no avail. Must be a problem with Google ics feed importing…
