Lost VISUAL Function/CAN NOT BLOG (6 posts)

    Dear Support,

    I need urgent help:
    On the Edit Post page, I can no longer move out of HTML to VISUAL. All that I’ve written before remains in HTML mode, with all the codes.
    I’ve tried rebooting WP, then the browser, then the computer to no avail.
    Without that, I can’t revise posts before publishing them.
    In other words, I can not blog. Please someone help.
    I do hope to regain this function in time to post tomorrow (Tuesday). My last issue, about losing the ability to change colors of the headlines of my posts, remains unresolved since last year.
    This new one, though, is enough to kill my blog. Thanks and regards,

    Check your user profile page to see if the visual editor is disabled there.

    Thanks Andrew, but the problem is not there; the Visual box is unchecked.
    To complicate matters, I’ve just checked the blog on another computer and the problem is not there. Since that is a faster Mac, I wonder whether something freaky happened. That was the computer I was working before, when all is fine. It’s a G4 MacBook. I wouldn’t know where to look within it, though. thanks

    Have you installed any new plugins? That’s usually the culprit.

    Apparently the problem was with the cache on this computer.
    Once I cleared it, the VISUAL command became functional again.
    Your prompt help was very much appreciated.

    Hello. I am having the same problem. For me it because of the update to WP 3.2. It looks to me that the javascript is not working once the page is loaded. I have checked to make sure that I have the required PHP and MySql, which I do. The funny thing is that the Visual Editor is working on my local dev site with essentially the same software installed as the remote site.

    If you look at the Wordpress forum there are numerous threads about the problem with the Visual Editor. Here is one:

    If anyone finds out anything it would be much appreciated to know.
