I need help understanding trackbacks

    I just don’t understand how this work. If I see content on someone’s blog that I like do I suppose to discuss on my blog and add a link? and then under post > trackbacks > add their url? Also is it just for blogs or can it also be used for websites. And what if I add a comment to their blogpost, can that be trackback?

    Thanks Steve. By any chance would you or anyone have a blog that I can look at to see how you handled someone else’s content on your blog and then trackbacked.

    If you can’t find the trackback link do you just put in the url?

    Hi Meryl– Why don’t you experiment a little? Create a test blog (or two) at WordPress.com, and play around.
