I am currently working on a blog art journal magazine theme and would like to display social icons along the blog’s content boxes for the front page which is the home page of the site.
Currently, i am using a plug-in called “Jamie Social” which allows me the ability to insert a ShortCode anywhere on a page or post.
However, I tried to insert the shortcode before the add more line within my visual editor and it did not display within the content box for the blog’s home page.
I am proficient using front end code and basic php, so if a plug-in solution is not available, please let me know how I can add this functionality to my blog using core.
@David– Not sure if this would help, but you can run shortcodes from your theme files. Try adding do_shortcode() to HOME.PHP.
Will try this solution.
