A few of my tags have got so much content in them that they should be converted to categories.

The tool-import that I found to do this is not up to date with my WP version — what can I do? Thank you.

There is a plugin called Categories to Tags Converter. Is that the one you’re talking about?

I tried it on my install of 3.4.1, and it worked great. Here’s some instructions on how to convert tags to categories (instead of the other way around)
