Call back bad crawlers

    Yesterday my traffic jumped so much. I googled one of the IP addresses and saw people have written that this was a bad crawler. How could I address that?

    (BTW, Someone wrote they fixed it by adding “Deny IP address” to their .htaccess file. I downloaded Wp htaccess Control but I am not sure how to use it. )

    There really is no need to use a plugin for this. Either ask your webhost for help, or do it yourself in cPanel:
