Accessibility/Disability friendly WordPress themes

    The Internet Society’s Australian Chapter is embarking on a site refresh using WP. One major concern is how to make the site Accessibility/Disability
    friendly. Any recommendations/ resources?

    BTW John James Jacoby’s wp508 theme seems to be gone. Redline is the only theme declaring itself Section 508 compliant.

    After looking into it a bit more I have found Accessible 1.0 – an accessible child theme for 2010

    One point that I’ve seen made is that by default WP only asks for TITLE when inputting images, whereas screenreaders look for the ALT attribute, so one should always put the ALT in too! Why they don’t make screenreaders look at TITLE if ALT isn’t there – don’t ask me.
