    I’m looking for a way to allow registered members to sell their goods through my WordPress site, where I’d take a small commission on each sale. Like Etsy, but less advanced of course. Any ideas or plugins out there that’ll do the job?

    You should check out MarketPress, it’s designed to do exactly that. I haven’t tried it myself but am considering it for a current e-commerce project.
