i am trying to change the domain titles:
i.e. http://jdbasketball.com/?page_id=34 to http://www.jdbasketball.com/ blog
— we tried changing the permalinks – but it screwed up entire navigation.
problem #2
we are also looking to fix newsletter feature so we can send 1 email out to database per post.

how did permalinks screw up the entire navigation?

There are two solutions here:
-change permalinks
-redirect http://jdbasketball.com/?page_id=34 to http://www.jdbasketball.com/ blog — but this seems like an odd solution.
