    I’m going from WP.com to WP.org and exporting and importing posts. Is there a way other than the Wordpress Importer PlugIn to do so?

    At one of the last meet ups, it was recommended but frankly it has a very poor rating and at wp.org there are so many questions about it that go unanswered. The FAQ page has a surprising lack of data considering all the obstacles people encounter. It makes me feel that Wordpress wants you to pay them to do the work – which they now offer.

    Using the WP Importer plugin really is the only way when you’re coming from WP.com.
