I plan to switch my hosting services from godaddy to bluehost. Any advice in this transition?

    Thank you

    Personally I like dreamhost.

    Why do you prefer dreamhost?

Though you should be doing backups anyway, it’s always nice when a host does them as well. However, Bluehost does not do backups: https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/help/312?step=312

I have been using site5 for the past year and am very happy with them. And they do backups :)

They don’t really have phone support, but you can use live chat and their tickets system, outside of forums. They have helped me figure out WP issues that have come up from time to time too, which I really appreciate.

I don’t use bluehost so I can’t compare, but I’ve been with Dreamhost about 7 years, more than one account on different shared servers. Outages are rare, responsive support. Great interface. True unlimited capacity.

If you go with them you can use the code VIDBLOG to get a maximum discount.
