I need to get an ASP site new hosting. Does anyone have info on what Hostgator is like? Their support? Downtime issues? Recommendations for another hosting company with Windows servers (not Godaddy or 1and1, please!)
    Thanks.

I’ve been using Hostgator recently for various clients (after lots of issues at Bluehost — grumble, grumble–). So far, so good. Great phone support (nice, smart people) although if you call at prime time you’ll wait a bit. No downtime noticed.

    Hi,

There’s a thread about hosting providers here:

My general advice is that if you are serious about using WordPress but don’t have the resources to manage your own servers, look for a host that provides special support and services for WordPress. This can make your life a lot easier.

If you find one you like, post back and let us know.

    Good luck,
