I am looking to add a JQuery Cycle Slider to my WP posts. I found a slider I liked and placed it in a post but in my RSS Feed of the post the photos are a jumbled mess!!! I am using Easy Rotator for the moment.

    http://www.dwuser.com/easyrotator/

Is there a slider I can purchase that will display only the first photo of the slideshow in my RSS feed?

OR — Is there a plug-in that will strip out the slider code and replace it with a screen capture of the first photo?

Have a look at the slideshow in my post that I am using for now:

    http://fashiondevelopmentgroup.com/2012/04/02/acm-awards-2012-best-dressed

It also needs to have captions and be able to support HTML code in the caption area so I can add social media buttons below individual photos in the slider.

How do you work around e-mailing out posts with a slideshow at the top of the post?

    Thanks!!!!

    Sheryl

Hi have you tried the Anything Slider from Chris Coyier of css-tricks.com? I’ve used it on a site with great results.

@RINDY – Do you have it in use on a site that I can see it customized? What happens with the 30 slides I place in the slider when the WP blog post is e-mailed out using Feedburner?

    Thanks

I implemented it on this site: http://meccacenter.com/

However I can’t say what will happen in Feedburner. I would install it on a test site and try some tests to find out.

Test site? Not sure how I do that?

    Thanks

I mean another site you have that you don’t need to worry about people seeing, etc. Install it there, try it out and see what happens.

If you don’t have another site, set one up. Use another domain (if you have one) or create a subdomain (like http://test.fashiondevelopmentgroup.com). Then just recreate your site there and try it out.
