What plugins do you use to get someone to offer their email in exchange for a free download? (4 posts)

    It is a simple matter to add a file for your users to download. But, what if you don’t want the link to the download to be publicly accessible and shared with thousands. The best protection would email people a link that would only work once (or maybe 3 or 4 times). Or, the link might change every hour (or other time period).

    Which plugins have you used for this and what did you like about them?

    I used this a while ago and it worked fine: Download Manager

    You can also setup a private page on your site, password protect it, and only have the url there.
