We used the BP Ajax Registration and Branded Login plugins for a couple of client sites.
Ajax registration can be accessed site-wide and worked well.

IMHO you’ll get far more benefit from getting back-links than spending time on micro-data.
At best you “may” get a 3-5% boost […]

Plugins 2 months, 1 week ago@Jake– It would be best to use FTP and edit the files locally. Use a text editor like Sublime, which was recommended by Jeffrey Way at the October 18 meetup.
