10up, a WordPress development firm, is currently doing some recruiting for one of our WordPress.com VIP clients who is looking to hire a full-time internal developer. The position is with Moguldom Media Group, which runs a suite of blogs (some of which are hosted on WordPress.com VIP), including Bossip.com, HipHopWired.com, StyleBlazer.com, 24Wired.tv, and MadameNoire.com. They’re looking for a smart WordPress engineer who can help manage and evolve these sites, as well as someone with an interest in mobile application development. Here’s a more detailed job description for you:
Job Title: Wordpress Engineer (WE)
Job Description: The WE will be the technical architect and manager
for a growing portfolio of WordPress blogs. The WE will be responsible
for general WordPress back-end coding and tech support, as well as
supporting a portfolio of mobile/app websites. This position could be
a gateway to an executive Chief Technology Officer position for an
ambitious coder and strategic thinker. The WE will report directly to
the CEO and Operations Manager.
Location: New York City or Fort Lauderdale
Salary: $90-110K

Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years Minimum experience in a web development field
- Advanced/Expert proficiency level in WordPress, PHP, and MySQL
- Must be familiar with using SVN for project version control
- WordPress core contributor, plugin or theme authoring experience a plus
- jQuery experience a plus
- Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks at any given time
- Four year degree in Information Technology, Information Systems,
Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field preferred
- Will be required to demonstrate proficiency in above technologies
prior to interview
